The family of Trinidad Asencion Ojeda-Lechuga, more affectionately known as “Trini” requests the support of your generosity as we prepare to memorialize our beloved brother and uncle. He was born in Praxedix G Guerrero El Porvenir, Mexico on November 25, 1961. Since 1995, Trini has made his home in Greeley, Colorado where he awoke on Saturday morning to begin shoveling snow, but his heart would not allow him to complete the task. The impact of Trini’s sudden passing has been difficult for our own hearts to bear, as he has been a strong part of our family’s anchor.
He never married nor had any children of his own, and this allowed him to give to his siblings, nephews, and nieces most freely and lovingly. Celebrating with family, good food, and his Coca-Cola and beer were things he enjoyed most. Though he struggled and triumphed through multiple health issues – including diabetes, blood clots, colon cancer, and heart issues – this never stopped him from celebrating life, family, and sports to the fullest. Having spent three decades in Colorado, Trini became a big Broncos fan and big Nuggets fan - watching the games with excitement and pride. He would greatly look forward to Super Bowl Sunday, when he knew he would be surrounded by the family he loved. This year, he was watching the big game from the bleachers of heaven with the family members who have gone before him. Trini is survived by sisters Maria, Teresa, Lourdes, Manuela and brothers Jose Manuel Martin Ojeda any all his nieces and nephews.
There will be a Visitation with Rosary for Trinidad on Tuesday, February 20, 2024 from 5:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. at Stoddard Funeral Home, 3205 W. 28th Street, Greeley, Colorado.
