Troy Anthony McCord

Troy was born March 2, 1963 in Newberry Park, CA, the son of Robert and Patricia McCord.

Troy graduated from Newberry Park High School in 1982. Growing up in California, he enjoyed the sunny beaches and surfing. He also participated in his high school football and wrestling team. Following high school, Troy went on to attend Pierce College in Woodland Hills, CA.

Troy married the love of his life Diane Baida on December 7, 1989 in Las Vegas, NV. Troy and Diane relocated to Greeley, CO and went on to raise two beautiful children, Courtney and Nik.

Troy found his passion in transportation, creating a career as a CDL Truck Driver.

Troy was a dedicated family man. Upon first sight of his granddaughter, Brynlee, she stole his heart and earned him his most cherished title, Papa. He also had an incredibly strong bond with his siblings.

Troy was an avid outdoorsman and had a true love for God’s beautiful creations. He especially loved archery, hunting, fishing and golfing. He also enjoyed listening to christian and country music.

Troy was an active member of Greeley Vineyard Church.

Remaining to cherish Troy’s memory are spouse, Diane; children, Nik McCord (Liberty Huntwork), Courtney McCord (Brady Shackelford) and Allison (Jeremy) Taylor; granddaughter, Brynlee Parker; parents, Robert and Patricia McCord; brothers, Brian (Tracy) McCord and Jason (Christy) McCord; sister, Denise (Chris) Milby; nephews, Tyler Milby, Austin McCord, Dyllan McCord, Kaleb McCord; great niece, Delaney McCord; aunts, Peggy Headington, Tommy Evonne McCord, Billy Jan McCord, Linda McCord, and Barbara Schurer; and uncles, Rich (Carrie) Headington, Mike Headington, and Ronnie McCord, as well as numerous cousins.

Preceding Troy in death are father, J. L. Morgan; grandparents, Mary Headington, Douglas Headington, Janine Headington, Tom McCord and Dorothy McCord; and aunts, Patricia Manny Miranda and Judy Mel Murray.

A celebration of life for Troy will be held Sunday, November 24, 2024 at 6:30 PM at Vineyard Church, 1015 9th Ave, Greeley, CO 80631.
