

Twila Mae Brown, 87, of Greeley, passed away Friday, July 15, 2016 at Tru Hospice of Northern Colorado. She was born on July 12, 1929 in Great Bend, Kansas to Paul Herman and Marie Elizabeth (Wilhelm) Neufer.
Twila was raised in Rosedale (Garden City), Colorado and Greeley, graduating from Greeley High School. She worked as an administrative assistant for several businesses including School District 11 in Colorado Springs and at Horace Mann Junior High School. Twila met James “Bear” Brown when he delivered milk to her office. They were married in 1950.
Twila was a member of the High Plains Baptist Church in Milliken. Her Germans from Russia heritage was very important to her. Her passions included International Day of Prayer, Bible study groups and witnessing to others. She enjoyed photography and sewing.
Twila is survived by sons, Buzz (Angie) Brown of Houston, Texas and Rich (Lois) Brown of Johnstown; sister, LoRee Dungan of Cheyenne, Wyoming; three grandchildren, Angela Ann Bruun, Andrea Marie Seidl and Trevi Allen Davis; six great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and nephew, Lee Larsen.
Visitation will be from 12:00-1:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 20, 2016 with funeral service at 1:00 p.m. both at Stoddard Funeral Home. Interment Sunset Memorial Gardens.
