Valery and her twin sister Beverly were born September 8th, 1939, in Eaton Colorado where they also grew up. She married in 1957 and gave birth to a daughter and two sons. After raising her kids, she relocated from Denver to Fresno California in 1981 to begin a new chapter of her life. Most of her career was spent in office administration. Wanting to be closer to her kids, she returned to Colorado in 2005 and enjoyed an active lifestyle at Heather Gardens.
Val was a free spirit and embraced life with enthusiasm. She had many interests such as golf, music, watching sports, theatre and performing. Her true passion was dancing. Not only did she love to get out on the dance floor but was an exceptionally talented dancer who could really move with the music. She was also in her glory when performing in numerous Heather Garden Frolic productions as well entertaining assisted living homes with her Road Show Troupe. Her singing group, the Notables, held a special place in her heart as she really enjoyed belting out those numbers! Val was an avid Rockies fan and loyally cheered them on regardless of their record.
Valery is survived by her three children: Linda Gordon, Bob Scott, Greg Scott, their spouses, five grandchildren, four great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, and her sister Jan Clark who resides in Las Vegas. Val’s vibrancy, effervescent personality, warm smile, and loving soul will be greatly missed by all the lives she touched.
A a celebration of life for Valery will be held Friday, September 8, 2023 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Rendezvous at Heather Gardens, 2888 S Heather Gardens Way, Aurora, CO 80014.
