Viola Gavoille, 92, of Eaton, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 24, 2020 at The Center at Center Place Rehab facility in Greeley, Colorado. She was born on November 10, 1927 in Johnstown, Colorado to Adam and Marie (Schafer) Brehm. She was the oldest of 8 children.
She was a homemaker and was known for her angel food cakes and crocheting abilities. Viola married Howard Gavoille on February 25, 1954. She and her husband worked in the Berthoud, Ault, Eaton and Kersey areas milking cows. After retirement, they moved to Benjamin Square in Eaton, Colorado and resided there for over 30 years.
She is survived by her two daughters, Betty (Robert) Rickard and Shelly Gavoille, both of Greeley, three grandchildren, Jeffrey Rickard and Krystal (Scott) Shaffer both of Greeley and Nicole Rickard-Oster of LaSalle, five great grandchildren, Jacob and Brandon Schaffer of Greeley, Adam Rickard of Greeley, Tesla Oster of LaSalle and Shantel Rickard of Arizona, one great-great grandchild, Selene Rickard of Evans, four sisters, Ruby Harding of Greeley, Geraldine (Richard) Sterkel of Loveland, Dorothy Held of Windsor and Mary Ann Gooding of Fort Collins and many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, brother, Robert Brehm, and two sisters, Ella Mae Huwa and Lillian Schaeffer.
