Virginia Bruce

Estes Park resident Virginia Bruce died December 6, 2015 at Prospect Park Living Center. Virginia Bruce was born January 10, 1936 in Cleveland, OH to Angelo Palange and Anna (Kuzmiskey) Smith. She worked for the Chicago Title Company for twenty-five years before moving to College Park, Maryland in 1981, working at the University of Maryland Engineering and Physical Science Library for fifteen years before retiring. Virginia moved to Boulder, CO in 2000 and has resided in Estes Park with her sister Marie Sollod since February 2014. Virginia was a very devout Catholic and had considered becoming a nun. She was also a dress maker, enjoyed music and always received high accolades from work, and was known for being the kindest, sweetest person. Virginia is survived by her sister Marie Sollod of Estes Park and her cousin Dorothy Laton of Boston, MA. She is also survived by her niece Wendy Sollod (Matt Bezark) and their son Wolf Bezark of Estes Park; nephew Bill Sollod (Melissa) of Columbia MD and their children Max of Columbia, MD and Alexandra of Baltimore, MD; and nephew David Sollod (Karen) and their son Jake of Stevensville, MD. Virginia is preceded in death by her parents. Memorial contributions may be made in Virginia’s name to Catholic Charities in care of Allnutt Funeral Service, 1302 Graves Ave. Estes Park, CO 80517.
