Virginia Ann Katherine Walsh-Wilford, 79, of Greeley, died peacefully, surrounded by family, Monday, May 30, 2016 at her home. She was born on July 13, 1936 in Durant, Iowa to Lloyd Orville and Martha Eva Ruth (Wacker) Hoos.
Virginia grew up in the Durant and Davenport, Iowa area. She graduated from Central High School in Davenport. Virginia moved to Greeley to be with her family and help her daughter and son-in-law, Susan and Tim raise their children. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Greeley.
Virginia is survived by daughters, Susan (Timothy) Wallace of Greeley and Lori Hunsaker of Greensboro, North Carolina; sons, Joseph Wilford of Greeley, Steven Wilford and Timothy (Tina) Wilford of East Moline, Illinois; brother, Lloyd Jr. (Tracy) Hoos of Davenport; 23 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
She will be greatly missed.
Memorial service will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, June 11, 2016 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 501 49th Avenue, Greeley, Colorado.
