I can see so much of her grandchildren in her face. She seemed to be very smart and have an easy laugh. I'm sorry to have only known her so briefly.

My mother taught our family well, the core values of honesty, genuineness, humility, and compassion - not without a wry Indian sense of humor that could laugh at life's ironies.
Our family appreciates all of the condolences that Vivian's friends, neighbors, and family have sent. I apologize for not being able to contact you all personally, when she died. Vicci, Shannon, and Kelly - I had the same heartfelt feelings for your father, then mother. Your parents had always been in my life. With Vivian gone, it is the passing of that generation. To my Oldest Friend, our Mom's would have wanted us to stay in contact.
   Love to you all, at the time of the passing of this wonderful, loving human being.

I am so sorry she passed away. It is the marking of an end of an era with the passing of the last of the Martin siblings. Aunt Vivian was such a sweet spirit and will always be remembered.

You all should know that she passed in a peaceful way, and with family and friends at her side in her last days. 
She lived such a long and story-filled life. It would be wonderful if you shared those memories of her with your families.

It is with deep sorrow that I read of Vivian's passing.  Gene and Vivian have always been a part of my life as I can not remember a time they and their family were  not a friend to my Mom and Dad. All of us ""Air Force"" brats always knew how deep these friendships between our families ran.

As my sister Vicci pointed out to me, with the passing of Vivian, we have lost another part of our past and another link to our parents. I have many happy memories of our visits with your family in Fayetteville.

I am so sad to read of Vivian's passing.  I have known her literally my entire life and her son, James, is, indeed, my oldest friend..since birth!  I will greatly miss her, her letters, her humor, her kindness, her support, the love and comfort she has offered thru out my life. A wonderful, smart, beautiful lady.  My heart goes out to her family.

We have many fond memories of our ""cross the street"" neighbor. Vivian was a very lovely lady and a good friend.
