He was born October 17, 1919 south
of Tekamah, Nebraska.
Survivors: His wife, Lucille, sons,
Ralph, Oliver and Michael, granddaughter
Lauren, and great-grandson, Ethan.
Inurnment: A graveside service in
Tekamah, Nebraska to be set at a
future date.
Tribute: On August 10, 1941, he
married Lucille Dye in a ceremony
at his family farm north of Tekamah.
They celebrated over 70 years of
marriage.
Willam Olinger was enrolled for two
years at the University of Nebraska
at Lincoln. He studied machinery and
tools in Omaha. He was an employee
of Bell Aircraft in Buffalo, NY during
World War II, working on the first jet
airplanes made in the United States.
He farmed several years south of
Tekamah, Nebraska following the war.
He began work in 1956 with Martin
Marietta in Denver, CO as a tool and die
maker, working on the Titan missle
program.
Other survivors: His brother, Kenneth, of
Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Preceded in death by: His parents, a sister, Elvira
and a brother, James.
