Obituary of Alfred P Page III
Alfred P. “Doc” Page III, 86, of Greencastle passed away Monday, December 10, 2018, at Mill Pond Health Campus. Alfred was born in Barrington, New Jersey on November 13, 1932, the son of Alfred P. Jr. and Ellen (Dean) Page. After graduating from Lincoln College of Chiropractic with honors, Dr. Page owned and operated “Alfred P. Page III Chiropractic” for over 45 years retiring in 2014. After receiving 4 different bachelor’s degrees, Alfred received a master’s degree from DePauw University. He was an Instructor for the State of Indiana Homeland Security, he also was a Fire Department Safety Instructor and a Greencastle Reserve Firefighter. He was in Fire Service for 65 years, starting fire instruction in New Jersey where he also started the Ambulance Corp. and assisted in starting the Putnam County Operation Life Ambulance Service in Greencastle. Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Delores Page, Greencastle; two children, Patricia Page-Tyree, (husband-Brian), Avon, and Craig Gardner, (wife-Shelley), Greencastle; four grandchildren, Matthew, (wife-Allie), Danielle, Krista, (husband-Jonathan), and Nathan; two great grandchildren, Brevin, and Theo; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister Dorothy Grundlock, brother-in-law Kenneth Grundlock, and Niece Susan Grundlock. Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, December 17, 2018, at Hopkins-Rector Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Forest Hill Cemetery. Visitation will take place from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Sunday, December 16, 2018, and one hour prior to time of service on Monday.
