Betty Black

She was born in Clay County on June 16, 1929 to her mother Lucille Shidler Trueblood.

She graduated from Coalmont High School. She married Robert L. Black on January 7, 1950 and spent 67 happy years together. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Greencastle.

Betty is su8rvived by her husband Robert, two sons, Tom (Brenda), Kissimmee, Florida and Terry (Dede), Greencastle. A brother, Larry Trueblood (Kathy), Leesburg, Florida and two grandchildren, Ben Thomas (Roberta) Oak Creek, Wisconsin and Julie Black of Greencastle, two great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her mother and her sister Iona Brown.

Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 29, 2017, at Hopkins-Rector Funeral Home in Greencastle with Pastor Larry Stafford officiating. Burial will be at Forest Hill Cemetery in Greencastle.

Friends may call from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Friday, April 28, 2017, at the funeral home.
