Betty was born November 6, 1949 in Lenoir City, TN to Roy and Josephine Boothe. She was a graduate of Greencastle High School, worked in food service at DePauw University, and attended the Church of God.
She is survived by he loving husband, Jesse Stephen Covert; children, Jay Stephen (wife Cinnamon), Christopher Allen (wife Shirley), and Tricia Covert; siblings, Roy Boothe, Bobby Boothe, Lesa Smith (husband Joel), and Tommy Armstrong; and grandchildren, Miranda, Sydnie, Tyler and Simon Covert.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving aunt and uncle, Avery and Grace Lane, who raised her through her later childhood.
The family will receive friends from 4 pm until 7 pm, Wednesday, February 15 in Hopkins-Rector Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be 1 pm Thursday, February 16 at the funeral home. She will be laid to rest in Forest Hill Cemetery.
