Born on June 21, 1955, Brenda lived a life defined by steadfast faith, warmth, and devotion to those she loved.
Preceded in death by her father and mother Harley Jr and Bernice Duncan, and husband Sidney Joseph Ivy.
Survived by her daughters Tasheena husband John and Mary Pearl husband Bradley. Grandchildren Zoe, Preston and Alistar. Brothers Gary wife Terri, Rodney wife Brenda, Tim wife Lisa, Harley wife Cheryl, Walter, and Anthony. Sisters Mary Sparks, Carmeletta Kean, and Norma Pleake husband Marlin. Many nephews, nieces, great nephews and great nieces.
Services will be held on Thursday, September 3, 2026, at Hopkins-Rector Funeral Home. Visitation will take place from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., followed by the funeral service at 12:00 p.m. Graveside services and burial will follow at Liberty Church in Gosport, Indiana. A gathering for family and friends will be held at Cloverdale American Legion, 501 S Main Street, Cloverdale, IN 46120 following the burial.
