He was born in Peoria, IL, the son of Oscar and Thelma (Crossley) Irving.
Oscar was an automotive mechanic having retired from Eastside Motors and previously working 33 years at Putnam Motors. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge #47, Greencastle.
He is survived by his son, Leo Irving; stepdaughters, Monica (Bob) Gipson, Cheryl (Wayne) Sigman, and Andrea (Eric) Martin; sister, Shirley (Don) Hall; ten grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wives, Rose Marie (Terry) Irving and Charlotte (VanMeter-Dorrell) Irving; and his son, Douglas Terry Irving.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Thursday, March 2, 2017 at the Hopkins-Rector Funeral Home with interment to follow at the Clinton Falls Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 12:00 noon on Thursday until time of service at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made in Oscar’s memory to the donor’s favorite charity.
