

He was born in Terre Haute on December 8, 1937.
Mac served his country in the United States Air Force during Korea and Vietnam.
He was a graduate of Indiana State University, and had been employed at Putnamville Correctional Facility for 33 years, where he was a vocational teacher.
Mac was a 50 year member of the Masonic Blue Lodge, member of Temple Masonic Lodge #47 F. & AM where he was a Master Mason, and Past Master; member of Valley of Terre Haute Scottish Rite 33rd degree, he served on the Grand Council; member of York Rite, Knights Templar, O.E.S., Zorah Shrine; and was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
He was preceded in death by his parents Dwight Moreland and Anna Moreland; a sister, Gloria Stiffey and a brother, Thomas Moreland.
Surviving are his wife of 48 years, Bonnie; three children, Keith McCalister, Gordon McCalister and wife Linda, and Mollie McCalister Paris and husband Brad; three grandchildren, Kayla McCalister, Hannah McCalister, and Brett Vicchrilli and wife Asia; a great-granddaughter, Phoebe Vicchrilli; and three nieces, Starla Pierce, Lisa Barker and husband Shawn, and Robbin Pierce.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 30, 2014 at 1 P.M. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 260 East County Road 300 South, preceded by a Masonic Service. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, December 30 from 11 A.M. until 1 P.M. at the church. Interment with honors will follow at Forest Hill Cemetery.
Memorials in Charles’ memory may be shared with the American Cancer Society.
