Charles Eugene "Charlie" Lytle was born on May 25, 1951, to the late William and Zella Lytle. Throughout his life, Charlie received services through PCCS forming meaningful connections and bringing joy to everyone around him. Charlie loved cheering on the Indiana Pacers, watching Walker, Texas Ranger, keeping his pocket protected and grabbing drive-thru food to enjoy a picnic by the falls. He will be dearly missed by the many friends and family he made along the way.
Charlie was preceded in death by his beloved parents, William and Zella Lytle; his brother, William L. Lytle Jr.; his sisters, Patricia Ann Lytle Scott Vanbibber and Linda Kay Francis; as well as two nieces and three nephews.
He is survived by Carol Shepherd, Nancy Wardlow (Jerry), Deborah Brewster (Larry), Phyliss Gibbons (Robert), and Marcia Middleton (Arthur); Robert Lytle, Donald Lytle (Susie), and Michael Lytle. Charlie also leaves behind 14 nephews, 7 nieces, and several cousins.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, August 5, 2026, at Hopkins-Rector Funeral Home in Greencastle, Indiana, with visitation from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM. Burial will follow immediately after at Clinton Falls Cemetery. The family extends a heartfelt thank you to the entire team at PCCS for their many years of dedicated care, support, and friendship provided to Charlie.
