Charles Allen "Al" Vibbert

Charles Allen “AL” Vibbert, Sr. 67 was born November 19, 1945 to Ellis Allen and Gladys Katherine Vibbert at Ft. Benning, GA. He went to be with the Lord on July 15, 2013. He was preceded in death by his father, son Zachary Allen, and his brother Wade Walter Vibbert.

Allen was retired from the United States Army and Veterans Administration Hospital in Indianapolis. He loved to hunt, fish, and spend time with his family and friends. But mostly hunting with his dear friend Duane Besso.

He is survived by his loving wife of 31 years, Teresa, mother Gladys, Sisters, Martha Ward (Randall) of Milton, FL, Kathy Vibbert of Seven Springs, NC, Nelda Anderson (William) of Holt, FL and Misty Hufstedler of LaPorte, IN. He also left to cherish his memory 2 children Marcella Penry (Tommy) and Charles Allen, Jr. both of Indianapolis, IN, 8 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. And a host of brothers and sisters in law and several nieces and nephews.

Services will be_held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, July 20, 2013 at Hopkins Rector Funeral Home Greencastle, IN with final resting place at Clayton Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 am on Saturday, July 20th until time of service at the funeral home.

One of his final requests was that in lieu of flowers donation be made to the Hancock County Hospice (801 N State Street, Greenfield, IN 46140 Attn: Foundation/Hospice) and please come dressed comfortably to the funeral as he will be.
