Charles Edward Wood

Rev. Charles E. Wood, 91, of Greencastle, passed away on Sunday, August 18, 2019. He was born November 18, 1927 in Vincennes, IN, the son of Harvey Travis and Clara (Freshly) Wood. He was a veteran having served in the United States Air Force. Rev. Wood had received his Master’s Degree in Theology and pastored in several United Methodist Churches throughout Indiana. He was a member of the Fillmore United Methodist Church. He is survived by his wife, Mary E. (Kendle) Wood; children, Mark Wood, Maurice “Sonny” (wife, Marcia) Wood, and Janet (husband, August) Wood Rock; five grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and ten siblings. Funeral services will be held at 4:00 PM on Sunday, August 25, 2019 at the Hopkins-Rector Funeral Home. A private family burial will be held.
