Born February 6, 1931, in Madison, IN, he was the son of Fred and Hallie (McCreary) Williams. He attended New Washington High School.
He was a United States Army veteran having served in the Korean War.
Cleo worked at General Motors Truck and Bus Plant in Indianapolis for 32 years, retiring in 1993. He was a member of the UAW; American Legion; and Masons.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife Dorothy (Webb) Williams; daughter Sherry Sanders, and siblings Edgar Williams, Louis Williams, Doris Smith, and Raymond Williams.
Cleo is survived by his daughters Tammy (Robert “Bud”) Page and Lisa (Donny) Perdue; grandchildren Lori (Andy) Gray, Angie (Ryan) Clark, Amanda (Josh) Clark, Ryan Sanders, Jacob (Chelsea) Page, Dustin Perdue, and Ethan Perdue; and several great grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, September 3, 2025, at the Forest Hill Cemetery. Interment to follow.
