Clifford “Cliff” Eugene Tincher Sr, 83, of Greencastle, passed away at his home April 17, 2018.

He was born May 29, 1934 in a Mount Meridian farm house, the last of six sons born to Edith Lucille (Lisby) and Wilfred Opal Tincher. He married Hallie Laverne (Woodall) Tincher on December 4, 1950.

Cliff farmed for many years before driving a semi for Stilesville Implement for ten years. In 1991 he and his sons started Tincher Construction, which incorporated in 1996.

He is survived by his wife, Hallie Laverne Tincher; five sons, Clifford “Bud” Eugene Tincher (Grace), James “Jim” Wilfred Tincher (Khadija), Arthur “Art” Ray Tincher, Marvin Thomas “Tom” Tincher (Debbie), and Michael “Mike” Allen Tincher (Arlene); 27 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, and 9 great great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and five brothers.

Cliff enjoyed woodworking and made gifts and furniture for friends and family. Warm evenings were spent on the front porch watching the hummingbirds feed. Known as “Pappy” to his grandchildren and great grandchildren, he took pride in teaching them the things he knew and supporting them in their endeavors.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, April 21, 2018 at the Bittles and Hurt Funeral Home with Pastor Lawrence Williamson officiating. Burial will follow at the Forest Hill Cemetery.

A reception for family and friends will follow the funeral services and burial at 4106 W. Co. Rd. 125 S. Greencastle, IN.

The family will receive friends from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Friday, April 20th at the Bittles and Hurt Funeral Home.

Jim, I am so so sorry for your loss and your pain. I knew of him but didn't meet him, when I was there years ago. I'm so sorry. I wish my daddy and momma were with you all at this time. My daddy loved you very much. So you are in wonderful hand, cause they are all with you from HEAVEN. I love you all. All the family. I'm praying.
