David was always a kind and sweet person. This is such a loss for our class. When he was in town, he would often attend my church in Carbon, Indiana. It was always nice to to see him and catch up on what was going on in our lives. He will be greatly missed at our class reunion this fall. I know I will see
David again one day!

So saddened to hear that David went to be with the Lord. David and I were the same age and crossed paths at many steps through our lives. From his days at Van Buren to our shared paths at Vincennes University to many many political events through the years. I told my wife when learning of Dave's passing that he was a guy that always showed up! In my book, that is a high complement. He loved America, our state and people in general. I will miss you my friend. Until we meet again, I bid you adieu.

What I remember most about Dave was his kind and caring heart. I first met him as a fellow volunteer in a politcal campaign for John Hostetler. He became friends with me and my family - our daughter called him "Uncle Dave"! He was one of the reasons we started attending Sherwood Oaks Christian Church and later became members. Dave was always willing to go out of his way to help others, and did so many times - not just for me and my family - but for all his friends. He had a ready smile, and loved to tell jokes. Dave always expressed care and love for his family, they were very important to him. I truly regret that I am unable to be present at his memorial service today. I will never forget Dave Shuee. He was a true friend.

I met Dave over 25 years ago while working on my first political campaign. He was loyal, committed, ever present and willing to help with anything necessary for the task at hand.

Dave had a servant’s heart, was very protective and always a stable force in any room he occupied. I was so encouraged that he discovered Jesus during those early experiences. He was both confident and comfortable in his own skin as a believer.

Dave now walks with the Lord, will clearly be missed and leaves a behind a testimony for those who follow the Savior.

You’ve done well, my friend. I look forward to meeting again.

I knew David from Sherwood Oaks Christian Church he was always the most pleasant person to be around. I also attend the Bloomington Chamber business after hours where you could always count on David being there, with that big smile and friendly hello. Sing with the Angels! You will be missed!

Dave was my dear friend. I remember his smile and his laugh. He was my security many times when we worked in politics and he was my security in life. I say that because he was always the same and never changed. I could count on him.
Now I live 1200 miles away and cannot say goodbye as I would like to say goodbye. However, because of our faith, I will see Dave again in heaven. God is so good to want us to go home to Him when we pass on.
God bless you, the family. You raised a wonderful man and a wonderful friend for me and my family. I am so sorry that Dave is no longer with you. His spirit will remain.

Very sorry to hear of Dave's passing. Have known Dave for many years. He was active at the Sherwood Oaks Christian Church. A good man and never really ever knew him to be negative and seemed to always want to be helpful. He is in glory land now with no more pain, tears or sorrow. Thanks Dave for being you.

I enjoyed getting to know Dave and serving with him at Sherwood Oaks Church. He was a dependable and trustworthy volunteer and leader on the Levite team. I always appreciated how flexible and willing he was to do whatever was needed, in his ever so calm and confident way. My sympathies to his family, friends and co-workers as we are all so sad to lose such a great friend.
Thankfully we have hope and I look forward to seeing you again Dave!
