Donald Smallwood, 73 of Greencastle Indiana passed away Thursday December 28, 2017 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born October 2, 1944 to Dave and Opal (Wagers) Smallwood in London KY. He married Mary Shirley Sweet on July 3, 1963. They raised two sons and a daughter. He worked at Navistar for over 30 years. He and his wife of 54 years attended CrossLand Baptist Church in Stilesville Indiana.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister and 2 brothers.
He is survived by his loving wife Shirley, his sons: Michael Ray Smallwood (Wendy),
James Derrall Smallwood (Paula), and his daughter:Sheryl May Barger (Travis)13 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren,1 brother and 4 sisters
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday, January 1, 2018 at the Hopkins-Rector Funeral Home in Greencastle, Indiana. Reverend Kenny Stevens will conduct the services. Interment will follow at the Brick Chapel Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until time of service on Monday at the funeral home.
