Born April 27, 1934, in Terre Haute, IN, she was the daughter of Wilbur and Marie (Bennett) Endicott. She was a graduate of Brazil High School and attended Stephens College in Missouri.
Dorothy was a homemaker and helped with the bookkeeping for her husband’s plumbing business. She was a member of the Greencastle Presbyterian Church, Chapter CB of PEO, and a Master Gardner.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Eugene Sawyer; son-in-law Andy Dickey and great granddaughter Lydia.
Dorothy is survived by her children Anthony (Louise) Sawyer, Andrew (Lynn) Sawyer, Terrence Sawyer, and Courtney Dickey; grandchildren Ryan, Colby, Hailey, Andrew, Graham, Hannah, Emily, and Meghan; great-grandchildren Olive Clementine, Mia, Stormi, Eli, and Maverick.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00 PM on Wednesday, May 13, 2026, at the Hopkins-Rector Funeral Home. Private graveside services will follow.
