Doug was born in Greencastle on September 9, 1959, the son of Joseph Harold and Loretta (Chiles) Ash.
Mr. Ash was a master of all trades, and could accomplish anything he put his mind to. He will be missed by everyone who knew him.
Survivors include his mother; a sister Deanna Smiley; a brother, Darrell Ash; two nephews; a niece; two great-nieces; a great-nephew; and a special friend Susan Ash.
He was preceded in death by his father; and his great-niece, Abryanna Jewell.
A private family service will take place at a later date.
