

Reese was born in Greencastle on April 21, 1936, the son of Ernest and Nettie (Johnson) O’Hair, and was a 1956 graduate of Bainbridge High School.
Reese worked for 35 years with IBM until his retirement in 1987. He also worked as a carpenter with Charlie Hendricks and Joe Hess.
Survivors include his wife, Judith O’Hair; a daughter, Lisa Ann Purdue, (Pat), Brownsburg; a son, Robert Wayne O’Hair, Fairview, Texas; a sister, Doris Smith, Greencastle; five step-children, Delana Santo, (Keith), Michael Roseboom, (Jenny), Daniel Roseboom, (Patti), Shari Ping, (Steve), and Bill Roseboom, (Holly); four grandchildren; 10 step-grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; eleven step-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and infant brother; two brothers, Clarence and Jim O’Hair; two sisters, Velma Dawes, and Ada Craver, a great-grandson, Theo George Purdue and his first wife Mary Margaret Baird O’Hair.
Services will be held 1:00 p.m. Thursday, February 17, 2022, at Hopkins-Rector Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Brick Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until time of service on Thursday.
