Gary Leverne Elmore

Gary L. Elmore, 65, of Coatesville, passed away on Thursday, November 5, 2020.
Born June 18, 1955 in Greencastle, he was the son of Arthur L. and Exie Elizabeth (Buchanan) Elmore and was a graduate of South Putnam High School “Class of 1974”.
Gary was a life- long farmer in Putnam County.
He was a loving husband and father and is survived by his wife & soul mate, Sharon D. (Hensley) Elmore whom he married on January 26, 1993; his son and gate holder,, Carl F. Elmore; niece, Karen (the late Jamie) Baker; great nephews & niece, Tyler Baker, Chad (Kasey) Baker, Kadie Baker, & Lane Hipps; great great niece & nephews, Wyatt, Alli, Carsyn, and C.J.; a sister, Joyce (George) Hipps; and a nephew, David Hipps.
He was preceded in death by his Parents.
For this one farmer the worries are over, lie down and rest your head. Your time has been and struggles enough, put the tractor in the shed.
Years were not easy, many downright hard, but your faith in God transcended, Put away your tools and sleep in peace. The fences have all been mended.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, November 13, 2020 at the Hopkins-Rector Funeral Home. Interment to follow at the Cloverdale Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Thursday, November 12th at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Gary to the American Heart Assn.
