Harold Eugene Sanders

Harold served in the United States Airforce from 1960 to 1964 and then went on to work for Link Belt for 40 years until his retirement. Harold was a member of St Paul the Apostle Catholic Church of Greencastle. He loved spending his time working in his yard and garden, and driving around on his mower.

Harold was preceded in death by his parents; brothers Stephen Sanders and Paul Sanders; and a sister Judy Finley.

Harold is survived by his wife of 58 years Rose Ann (Schroeder) Sanders; son Russell Sanders (Tammy), daughter Lauri Smiley, and son Brian Sanders (Debbie); brother Anthony “Tony” Sanders (Kelly), sisters Vicki Caldwell (Mike), Marilyn Knott (Jim), and Carolyn Dixon (Larry); grandchildren Kraig Sanders (Lauren), Josh Sanders (Brittany), Christopher Smiley (Megan), Justin Sanders (Andrea), and Shelby Sanders, four step-grandchildren. eight great-grandchildren, five step great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews

Funeral Service will be held on May 30, 2025 at 11am at Bittles and Hurt Funeral Home. Family will receive friends from 9:00 am until time of service. Interment will follow at Putnamville Cemetery.
