Helen L Brooks

Born August 22, 1928 in Kansas City, MO., she was the daughter of Edward B. and Annie (Matson) Lundgren. She married Harry R. Brooks on June 23, 1951, and he survives.

Helen attended Christian College and then received her Bachelor's Degree from William Jewell College in Missouri. She went on to teach for over 25 years, first as a mathematics teacher in Blytheville, Arkansas and later teaching and supervising the computer lab at Brentwood High School in St. Louis, MO.

She was a member of the Third Baptist Church in St. Louis.

Survivors include her husband, Harry R. Brooks, sons, Howard (Marilyn) Brooks and Harold (Katherine) Brooks; brothers, Edward (Beth) Lundgren and Robert (Betty) Lundgren; four grandchildren, Nathan (Liz) Brooks, David Brooks, Sarah Brooks, and Christopher Brooks.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Memorial services will be at 1 pm on Saturday, May 10 at Autumn Glen with Rev. Nathan Brooks officiating. Bittles and Hurt Funeral Home are assisting with the arrangements.
