Herschel always made me smile and I enjoyed talking to him during my time at ATA. He will be missed. RIP Herschel

So sorry for your loss Anna, may the Lord bless and comfort you and the family these coming days (Phil 4:6-7).  I still smile when recollecting a Herschel quote or action from those days working  alongside him at ATA...from he and Wendell straightening out each new hire on how to keep their names straight as they stood together - each with a hand raised, to his storied advice on what to do when boys would come calling at the door one day for our daughters, to chuckling at the next HOT HOT item brought to Engineering.   It was a privilege and a pleasure, .......and Herschel .....Yo!

Herschel was great person to work with. He was a very good teacher. He sure was a sheel metal expert. I learned alot from him. I will miss him and all his friends will miss him. Annie my thoughts and prayers will be with you. As Herschel would say better days are coming. Rest in peace Herschel.

I also had the pleasure of working with Hershel at ATA for 25+ years and saw firsthand the gentleman he was. I always appreciated his kindness, quick wit and memorable sayings. One of my favorites I still use today was "If you've got time to do it right the second time, you've got time to do it right the first time."  Well said Hershel. You will be missed. Condolences to the family.

Uncle Herschel will be dearly missed.  Aunt Annie, Sondra, Brian, I have so many wonderful childhood memories with you all and Uncle Herschel. I have and will always cherish them.  You are all in mine and my families thoughts and prayers.  I love you all so very much

Herschel always had a smile for everyone. I regarded him as one of the highly respected elders in the Maintenance Department. It's hard not recall Herschel when thinking of the ATA. He was part of what made it what it was and why we miss ATA “back in the day” God Bless ya Herschel.

Herschel was a great friend and I had the pleasure of working with him for close to nineteen years at ATA. Every time I saw him, he always greeted me with a smile and would brighten my day. God's speed, Herschel.

Anna, so sorry I can't be there with you, Brian, Sondra and Paula at this time... just know you are in my thoughts and prayers.  I am so glad tho I was able to spend time together this summer with you and Herschel.  Special friends....Always~

I had the distinct pleasure of working with Herschel for 15 yrs. at ATA. He always had a good story or joke. He always seemed to have the answers when we needed engineering help. What a great guy. My condolences to his family he will be missed.

Herschel was a friend and co-worker at ATA who helped me a lot. He was liked by everyone and will be missed by all that knew him. I can't attend as I have to be out of town. I will be thinking of him and family and always remember him.
