

Born April 24, 1929 in Putnam County, the son of Ernest C. and Nettie (Johnson) O’Hair and attended Bainbridge High School. He married Virginia E. (Ehrhardt) O’Hair on December 23, 1952 and she survives.
He was a veteran of the United States Army, having served in the Korean War.
Jim worked as a setup man with the IBM Corporation for 40 years, retiring April 30, 1984. He was a member of the Brick Chapel United Methodist Church and a lifetime member of the V.F.W., Greencastle.
Survivors include his wife, Virginia; sons, Howard Eugene O’Hair, John W. (Marcia) O’Hair, and Kenneth J O’Hair; daughter, Connie L. (David) Clarke; brother, E. Reese (Judy) O’Hair; sister, Doris M. (Lawrence) Smith; six grandchildren; and 12 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Clarence O’Hair; and sisters, Velma G. Dawes and Ada L. Craver.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, April 25, 2014 at the Hopkins-Rector Funeral Home. Interment with military honors will follow at the Brick Chapel Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 24th at the funeral home.
