Janice was born June 10, 1954 to William Ashley and Yvonne Mitchner (Nelson) in Indianapolis.
Janice loved her family, particularly her grandchildren whom she loved to spoil. She also loved to overfeed her dogs and her sons all knew it was dinner time when the smoke detectors were going off. She worked for over 10 years as the bookkeeper for Greendell Mulch in Mooresville, IN.
Janice is proceeded in death by her parents; husband Steven Russell; and two granddaughters Krisaleigh Ford and Morgan Russell.
Janice is survived by her four sons William Ford (Bethany), Jeremy Russell (Nichole), Stephen Russell Jr, and Mike Russell (Tammy); a sister Sheryle Jarrett; 15 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; and a niece and nephew.
Services will be held Sunday February 23, 2025 at 2pm at Hopkins-Rector Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 12:00 pm until time of service.
