He was born July 19, 1942 in Indianapolis to Gordon and Irene Peters.
He retired from the Marion County Sheriffs Department after 25 years and had served in the U.S. Navy.
He was survived by his wife, Marsha; his two daughters, Michelle and Tamera; two stepsons; his mother, two sisters, and 13 grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held at 12:00 noon on Monday, September 17, 2012 at the Forest Hill Cemetery, Greencastle, IN.
In lieu of flowers donations may be sent to the Alzheimer’s Assn.
