Joseph D. Fogle

Joseph D. Fogle, 82, of Greencastle passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 11, 2020, with his loving family by his side. Joe was born in Greencastle, the son of Frank and Ida Mae (Albright) Fogle, and was a 1956 graduate of Greencastle High School. He proudly served in the United States Navy, and he enjoyed life-long friendships with his fellow shipmates. Joe was a former member of Elks Lodge #1077, Masonic Lodge #47, and was on the Putnam County Board of Realtors. He retired from IBM in 1990 after 30 years of service. He was Co-Owner of Coldwell Banker, and All Stor Self Storage. He held his realtors license for over 50 years. Survivors include his wife of 25 years, Peggy S. Fogle, five children, Joseph D. “Jay” Fogle II, (wife-Tina), Gayla Guignard, (husband-Brian), Jennifer Swearingen, (husband-Gregg), Jana Sillery, (husband-David), and Jill Bridgewater, (husband-Brian); a step-son, W.m. Erik Foster, (wife-Colleen); 11 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Jacob Fogle; and two sisters, Anna Belle Phillips, and Margaret Dooley. Services will be held 1:00 p.m. Saturday, February 15, 2020, at Bittles and Hurt Funeral Home with Pastor Paul Bowen officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Hill Cemetery.
