He was always smiling. He had a resting smile face. Even when we started wearing masks, you could still see his smile under his mask. He was also stanced up in every photo haha. He never had a bad photo. My condolences go to his family. Cascade isn't the same without him.

I remember the little guy who sort of bounced into my Pre-K class at New Pathways Preschool. He was a fun mix of quiet with a slight little grin and bounding around the playground at full tilt. I remember telling him he really needed to learn how to write Kaden even though he wanted to be called Kadeo. He would just grin and say, "But my name is Kadeo!" I think I got that "n" only a few times on his papers😁 You are on my mind often these days and please know each time I think of you a prayer goes up as well.

Dear Kelly, Crystal, and family,

I was greatly shocked and saddened to learn yesterday of Kadeo's death. I didn't know Kadeo firsthand, but Kelly and I discussed our families many times, and through those conversations I got to know your son to some extent.

I know how family-focused Kelly always was, and I can imagine how devastating and sorrowful a time this is for all of you.

I wish that there was more that I could do at this time besides conveying my deepest sympathy to you. Let me also express my fervent hope that somehow you will find the strength and resolve to move forward in the weeks, months, and years ahead, even as I am certain that it will not be easy and that fond and loving memories of Kadeo will always be with you.

I originally lived in Greencastle all my life and never knew Kadeo until I moved to Plainfield. Once I got to know him we found it funny that we never knew each other before. Kadeo and I worked together at Walmart, where I met him, and there was never a dull moment. He was always laughing and the happiest person I’ve met. It doesn’t seem real he’s gone. Prayers for the Lewis family!

I visited Kadeo at the hospital the day he entered the world with that red hair. We watched him grow up through yearly birthday parties, trick or treat nights and pool days in our Greencastle neighborhood. Crystal, Kelly , Carter and Braxton... you are in our prayers and our hearts ache along with yours. 🙏🏼💕

Kadeo would always keep his chapstick in his sock. I would always think it was the goofiest thing, but that's who Kadeo was. I would sit next to him in class and he would just reach for his sock and pull out some chapstick like it was just another day 😂.
