Obituary of Larry Max Clodfelter
Larry M. Clodfelter, 67, of Greencastle, passed away at home early Friday morning, March 24, 2017, ending his battle with cancer. He was the first son of Max and Alice (Shoemaker) Clodfelter, born September 3, 1949 in Crawfordsville, IN, was a 1967 graduate of Bainbridge High School, a 1968 graduate of the Hobart Welding School, in Troy, OH, and was a member of the Bainbridge Christian Church, and was currently attending the Bethel Baptist Church. He was a career union iron worker for Local 22 out of Indianapolis, retiring in 2004 at age 55, and then worked for Legan Livestock & Grain until he became ill in 2016. He was a good husband, father, grandpa, and great-grandpa. During his lifetime, Larry enjoyed numerous activities; riding his Harley-Davidson motorcycle, camping, & NASCAR races, and was a member of the Eagle Lodge 4388. He married Lynda Whitehead on April 18th, 1969 and they were married 34 years, until her sudden death on December 24th, 2003. On October 24th, 2005, he married Maria Dean, and she survives. He is also survived by son Aaron (Joyce) Clodfelter, Heritage Lake, daughter, Christy (Darren) Collier, Danville, son Jeremy (Kebra) Clodfelter, Plainfield and daughter, Brandi (Dustin) Clodfelter, Danville, daughter, Rhonda (Rick) Woodall, Greencastle, and daughter, Mary (Kevin) Harrigan, Greencastle. Parents, Max and Alice Clodfelter, brother & sister-in-law, Phillip & Darla Clodfelter, (4) brother-in-law’s, Ron Perkins, Don (Jana) Perkins, Russell (Rita) Keck, Billy Keck. (18) grandchildren and (16) great-grandchildren, Aunt Ardell Pingleton, nephew, Jason (Carol) Clodfelter, and niece, Jodi (Josh) Willhite. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Thursday, March 30, 2017 at the Hopkins-Rector Funeral Home. Interment will follow at the Bainbridge Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Wednesday, March 29th at the funeral home. Memorial contributions can be made in Larry’s memory to the charity of your choice.
