Laura Jane Martin-Dickey

Laura Jane Martin-Dickey, 73, of Greencastle, passed away on Friday, April 5, 2024. Born September 25, 1950 in Clinton, the daughter of Robert Paul and Gradie (Decker) Martin. She was a graduate of Rockville High School Class of 1968. Laura wore many hats during her career working around Greencastle. She was a member of the Moose Lodge and the Women of the Moose. She married her husband Orville Dickey on April 28, 2001 and he preceded her in death on February 24, 2018. She was also preceded in death by her parents; two sisters Kay (Butch) Foxworthy and Sue (Charlie) Engle; brother Dennis “Doc” Martin; and sister-in-law Paula Martin. Laura is survived by her sisters Connie Griffin, Janet (Ron) Cannon, Jackie Earnhart; brother Larry Martin; adopted sister Becky Wildman; sister-in-law Lucille Liebert; brother-in-law George Dickey; uncles Hubert & Richard Decker; nieces and nephews Tony (Diana) Foxworthy, Melanie Foxworthy, Kelly (Ben) Baker, Alisa Exline & Chico, Marty (Chris) Engle, Hollie (Homer) Knopp, Brady (Della) Griffin, Wendy Griffin-Allen, Shane (Sommer) Cannon, Veronica Collins & Tom, Jamie Jo Martin, Stoney Lutes, Jason (Angela) Lutes, and Coy Liebert; and several great nieces and nephews. Per Laura’s request cremation was chosen. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, April 19, 2024 at the Clinton Falls Cemetery followed by inurnment. Hopkins-Rector Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Laura to the donor’s charity of choice.
