Born July 9, 1946, in Greencastle, IN the daughter of Roy Robert and Jessie Louise (Eads) Hanks. She attended Bainbridge High School.
Linda had worked at the Putnam County Comprehensive Learning Center for several years. She had also worked at some fast-food restaurants in Greencastle.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters Mary Emory and infant Rebecca Sue Hanks; and two nieces.
Linda is survived by her sister Emily Kay (husband Rick) Swords; brothers John Hanks and Jim Hanks; and six nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, February 6, 2026 at the Brick Chapel Methodist Church 3547 N. US Hwy 231 Greencastle, IN. 46135. Interment will follow at the Brick Chapel Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until time of service at the church.
