OBITUARY

Lois Mae Cash

Lois Mae Cash, 90, of Greencastle, passed away on Saturday, June 8, 2019.

She was born April 13, 1929 in Jamestown, Indiana, the daughter of Carl and Alice (Nicholson) Lewis and was a graduate of Greencastle High School “Class of 1947”.

Lois was a homemaker and retired from Jim Vaughn’s Stilesville Auction and Implement Sales. She had previously worked at Marsh Grocery, the DePauw Registrar Office and Owl Drugstore. She was a member of the Fillmore Christian Church, Eastern Star, and a founding member of the Sweet Sixteen Club. Lois loved to play Bridge and crafting, quilting, sewing and crocheting.

She is survived by her husband of 72 years, Verlin E. Cash; children, Sandra Sue (John) Nees, Steven E. (Patricia) Cash, and Cynthia M (Roger) Earley; a sister, Virginia Gender; ten grandchildren; and 20 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and two brothers, William and Eugene Lewis.

Graveside services will be held at 1:00 PM on Thursday, June 13, 2019 at the Fillmore Cemetery.
