Margaret Ann Claxton

Born February 19, 1933 in Clinton Falls, IN the daughter of James Gilbert and Effilene (Buis) Chadd. She was a graduate of Greencastle High School “Class of 1951”.

Margaret was a cook at the Walden Inn and Jackson’s Double Decker for several years. She had previously worked at RCA in Bloomington and worked as a photographer. A lifetime member of the Moose Lodge and member of the Eagles Lodge, Greencastle.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sister Eva May Chadd; brother Gilbert Wayne Chadd; and friend & companion Julie Juliani.

Margaret is survived by her son Jeffrey Rushton & wife, Linda; grandchildren Robert Behney and Melissa Akers; great grandchildren Carrie Wheeler & husband, Joshua, Justin Behney, RJ Behney and Krystlelynn Behney; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 4:00 PM on Monday, March 17, 2025 at the Hopkins-Rector Funeral Home. A private inurnment will follow at a later date.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM until time of service on Monday at the funeral home.
