Mary Louise Duell Long

Born October 11, 1920 in Cunot, IN, the daughter of Homer and Grace (McMains) Routt. She was a graduate of Greencastle High School.

Mary Lou was a homemaker, worked as a licensed beautician, and at DePauw University sorority houses. She was a founding and 43 year member of the Friendship Homemakers Club and affiliated with the First Christian Church Disciples of Christ.

She is survived by her husband, Adran Long; sons, Danny M. (Carol) Duell, Gilbert “Gib” (Janice) Duell, James E. (Sherryl) Duell and John C. (Nancy) Duell; nine grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; and two great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jesse Duell, brothers, Carl and Gordon Routt; and granddaughter, Nichole Danielle Duell.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday, February 13, 2017 at the Bittles and Hurt Funeral Home, Greencastle, IN. Interment will follow at the Cloverdale Cemetery, Cloverdale, IN.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM until time of service on Monday at the funeral home.
