Mary Suzanne Lachmayer

Born in Terre Haute, IN, she was the daughter of Cecil and Vera (Haney) English and was a graduate of North Putnam High School “Class of 1970”. Suzanne was a graduate of Lincoln Trail College in Illinois.

Suzanne was a Registered Psychiatric Nurse at Hendricks Community Hospital for 24 years working in the stress center, retiring in 2010. She was a member of the Greencastle Kappa Delta Phi sorority and Bartlett Chapel Church, Danville, IN.

Suzanne received the Living Gift of a kidney and was a great proponent of transplantation and her last wishes were to be a tissue/organ donor herself.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Suzanne is survived by her husband Elliot Lachmayer; son Anthony Joseph Lachmayer; brother David English & wife Marjorie; and sister Debbie English.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, March 22, 2026, at the Hopkins-Rector Funeral Home, Greencastle. Interment will follow at the Bainbridge Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 12 noon until time of service.
