Mattie Faye Hensley

Born September 3, 1931 in Laurel County, KY, she was the daughter of Taft and Luanna (Burkhart) Schell.

She was a stay at home mom, enjoying caring for children and grandchildren many of her years.

Sister Faye Hensley was a member of Abundant Life-The House of Mercy in Danville, IN.

For the last year she lived with her daughter Louise and son-in-law Ken, where she received great care and shared many laughs as they hosted family for extended visits.

She was preceded in death by daughters Bobby Jo Cornwell and Wilma Jean (Greg) Oliver.

A loving mother and grandmother, she is survived by her children, Ronnie (Anita) Hensley, Linda (Brad) Burris, Ruby (Doyle) VanVekoven, Betty Cassiday, Louise Long (Ken) Sims, Jessie (Pam) Hensley, Robert (Laurie) Hensley, and Danny Hensley; 22 grandchildren; 35 great grandchildren; and 7 great great grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, March 26, 2022 at the Hopkins-Rector Funeral Home. Interment will follow at the Bainbridge Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM until time of service on Saturday at the funeral home.
