Melvin Ray Siddons

Melvin Ray Siddons of Greencastle, passed away on his 82nd Birthday, Saturday, August 24, 2019. He was born August 24, 1937 in Cloverdale, the son of Albert and Mary (Mundy) Siddons. Melvin began his military career with the United States Air Force and re-enlisted with the United States Army, and retiring from the National Guard as a Staff Sargent. He had served as commander for various Military Armories, including Greencastle and Danville. He is survived by his wife, Christine Gloria (Davide) Siddons; his children, David Ray (wife, Maria) Siddons, Deborah Lynn Heindl, Sandra Leigh Siddons, and Melodee Sue Siddons; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; and nine siblings. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, August 31, 2019 at the Bittles and Hurt Funeral Home. Interment with military honors will follow at the Walnut Chapel Cemetery, Belle Union, IN. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Friday, August 30th.
