Mike was born on January 10, 1959 in Lafayette to
Eugene A. Mills and Donna M. Shemash Mills.
He was a very talented carpenter.
Mike was preceded in death by his grandparents; a niece; an aunt and uncle.
Surviving are his parents, Eugene and Donna Mills of Heritage Lake; a daughter, Katie Mills of Morrow, GA; brother, Kevin Mills and wife Tina of Chesapeake, VA; sisters, Ann Felgen and husband Bob of Laguna Niguel, CA, Michelle Waters of Jacksonville, FL, Terese Carter and husband Monty of Piedmont, S.C., Jean McCorkhill and husband David of Indianapolis, and Lisa Galligan and husband Dave of Charleston, S.C.; 12 nieces and nephews and 3 great-nieces.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, February 17, 2012 at 11 A.M. at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church, 202 East Washington Street with Father Darvin Winters officiating.
