She was born on June 3, 1956 in Indianapolis to Robert Weir Thompson and Alice Pauline Palmer.
Michelle was a 1975 graduate of Arsenal Technical High School.
Her father preceded her in death.
Surviving are her son, Shawn Selby; her mother, Alice Palmer; siblings, Tina Johnston and husband Keith, Randolph Thompson, Mary Williams and husband Kent, Roberta Simpson and husband Bob, Steven Thompson and wife Annette and Melody Truesdale; and a grandson, Jacob Selby.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, August 31, 2011 at 11 A.M. at Hopkins-Rector Funeral Home, with Pastor Randy Gregory officiating. Interment will follow at New Providence Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, August 30, 2011 from 5 to 8 P.M. at the funeral home.
