Milton Wayne Berry

Born March 2, 1939, in Putnam County, IN, he was the son of Harold Martin and Mary Margaret (Hawkins) Berry growing up on the family farm. He was a graduate of Greencastle High School “Class of 1957”. Milton attended Indiana State University working towards an industrial arts teaching degree before being drafted into the United States Army and serving in Germany.

Milton owned and operated Berry Insurance for over 40 years. He had held his real estate license for 40 years. He had previously worked at Mallorys for a few years.

He was a 50-year member of the Greencastle Masonic Lodge.

Milton enjoyed fishing, hunting, mushroom hunting, golf, playing cards, and loved teaching others.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister Virginia Stephens.

He loved spending time with his family and friends. Milton is survived by his wife Mary L. (Jordan) Berry; sons Darren W. Berry and Travis C. Berry; siblings Carolyn Shuee, H. Keith (Sharyl) Berry, Mary E. (John) Lash, and Jack (Janae) Berry; and several nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life will be held for Milton at a later date. Hopkins-Rector Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
