Pamela Kay Nelson

She was born October 14, 1950, in Greencastle to the late Carl and Elizabeth “Betty” (Martin) Snodgrass. Pam was a graduate of Bainbridge High School “Class of 1968”.

She married John W. Nelson and they had three children. Pam stayed home to raise her children while they were young and also cared for her father-in-law until his passing. She later started working at Mallory’s then FB Distro until her retirement. For several years Pam worked at the Covered Bridge Festival and other small events for a food vendor.

After her retirement she cared for her mother and made regular visits to her aunt and uncle in the nursing home.

She was preceded in death by her parents, aunts, and uncles.

Pam is survived by her children, James Nelson, Amy Callahan, and Sara (Justin) Buchanan; grandson Calvin Callahan; two sisters; and nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, August 29, 2025, at the Hopkins-Rector Funeral Home. Interment will follow at the Clinton Falls Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 11:00 am until time of services.
