Born January 1, 1929 in Greencastle, he was the son of Willie and Ester Fern (Knight) Phillips and was a graduate of Fillmore High School.
Raymond was a press operator at IBM for 33 years, retiring in 1987. He was a member of the Fillmore Christian Church for over 60 years. He had also served in the Indiana National Guard.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Donald Phillips; and step children, John and Robin Dloniak.
Raymond is survived by his wife, Wynnette (Hutton) Phillips; a son, William Phillips; step children Donald Jellison, Tom Dloniak, Sandra Wilcox, and Terri Ferry; several grand, great, and great great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, December 29, 2021 at the Bittles and Hurt Funeral Home. Interment will follow at the Fillmore Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1:00 PM until time of service.
