Reita Wray Wood

Reita Wray Wood, 86, of Greencastle, passed away on Thursday, January 31, 2019. She was born on January 31, 1933 in Greencastle, IN, the daughter of Gilbert and Kathryn (Reed) Heath and was a graduate of Greencastle High School “Class of 1950”. Reita had owned and operated Wood Produce Stand with her husband, John for 25 years. She had also been a cashier with Kroger for 10 years and previously worked at Cohen Pharmacy. She was a member of the Greencastle Elks Lodge. She is survived by her husband of 67 years, John N. Wood; a daughter, Terre Lansing; sons, John C. (wife, Brenda C.) Wood, Jeffrey G. (wife, Tamie) Wood, Jerald Wood, and Bradley (wife, Stacia) Wood; ten grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren, that she adored. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Jack and Gettis Heath; and an infant sister Barbara Alice. A Celebration of Reita’s Life will be held with the family receiving friends from 1:00 to 3:00 PM on Saturday, February 9, 2019 at the Greencastle Elks Lodge 202 S. Indiana St. Greencastle, IN 46135.
