Richard Lawson

Dick served his country in the National Guard.

He was a member of Hazelwood Christian Church.

Mr. Lawson was a life time farmer growing both grain and livestock, and had helped his parents run Lawson’s Market in downtown Danville.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Russell Lawson and John Lawson; a son, Todd Lawson and grandson Jeffrey Brent Lawson.

Surviving are his wife, Marian A. Lawson; two sons, Jeffrey Lawson and wife Julie of Linden and Chad Lawson and wife Heather of Bainbridge; five grandchildren, Sarah Lawson, of Lafayette, Chris Lawson and wife Erika of Linden, Michael Lawson of Greencastle, Ian Lawson and Mackinley Lawson both of Bainbridge; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, March 11, 2012 at 3 P.M. at Bittles & Hurt Funeral Home, with Pastor Stevan Ranson officiating. Interment with honors will follow at Bainbridge Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 1 P.M. until time of services at the funeral home.
